Neptune City is a borough located along the Shark River. Unincorporated communities,
partially or completely within Neptune City include Neptune Heights and Ocean Grove Heights. The
borough borders the Monmouth County municipalities of Avon-by-the-Sea, Bradley Beach and Neptune Township.
The Neptune City School District serves students in Kindergarten through eighth grade at Woodrow Wilson
School. Neptune Township, formed in 1879, gets its name from the Roman God of the Sea. Neptune Township is
situated in the central easternmost part of Monmouth County. Many homes reflect a charming look into the past with many Victorian style homes, ranches,
townhouses and condos. It is close to NYC trains, shopping and restaurants.
